Collabrative Work
Occasionally, I get the opportunity to work with others to design and create collabrative projects. Click on an image to find out more about my mixed media and tile mural group projects.
12'x5'x1" handmade tile mural. Each student at Cherry Creek Elementary in Lowell made a few tiles for the mural. The students also helped install the tiles too!
Collaborative project with Harbor Hospice staff and volunteers in Muskegon, MI. 5'x5'x4', copper, porcelain and wood
Full Circle is installed at the Poppen Hospice Residence in their Reflection room.
Barn wood and porcelain community project for Newaygo County Council for the Arts. Kids of all ages helped make the porcelain parts for the 7'x6'x6" wall sculpture.

35'x7'x1" handmade tile mural for the Fremont Middle School in Fremont, MI. Students, teachers and staff made all the tiles for the mural. Students helped glaze them too. Professional tile installers and volunteers put the mural up over a few days.
Grouting handmade tile is very labor intensive (the grout goes on great, but clean up is tedious).
I developed three different designs for students to vote on. This is the one they selected for the Fremont Middle School project.
Tile mosaic made with the helps of middle school students for the Grant Middle School. The 20'x9' mural is made with solid body porcelain tiles that were cut up and used to create the design.
Installation and grouting was completed by professional tile installers from Welch Tile. I assisted in wiping down the mosaic.
This colorful tile mural was created with the help of hundreds of kids for the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. Framed size 5.5'x11'x3"
Kids led the way on what the garden would grow before the finial design was drawn up.
Extra tiles from Grow Garden Grow were used to make a 2'x3' tile piece.
